Are U Breathing...Substance Abuse Professionals (SAP) is a “Gatekeeper” for the Department of Transportation's (DOT's) return to duty process. Our goal is to get you healthy and back to work quickly. We provide alcohol and other drugs and substance use disorder services, evaluations, and assessments for employees that are regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and for Non-DOT clients. We provide important help to the employee, the employer, and to the traveling public.

We are a subject-matter expert in the industry. Our fundamental responsibility is to provide a comprehensive face-to-face assessment and clinical evaluation to determine what level of assistance the employee needs in resolving problems associated with alcohol use or prohibited drug use. Then we can recommend a course of education and or treatment. Treatment recommendations can include, in-patient treatment, partial in-patient treatment, out-patient treatment, education programs, and aftercare, drug, and alcohol education courses, self-help groups, and community lectures. The employee must demonstrate successful compliance prior to returning to DOT safety-sensitive duty.
